David Briggs is an English writer and teacher.

He received an Eric Gregory Award from The Society of Authors, and his first collection, The Method Men (Salt, 2010) was shortlisted for the London Festival New Poetry Prize. His second collection, Rain Rider was released in November 2013.

In the hours between sitting down to write he is Head of English at the Grammar School in Bristol.
